Going on a cruise

I have never been on a cruise before and I can't wait! However, I am a little stressed about the thought of packing for it. For those of you that have been before, is there anything that is a "must have" when you are on a cruise? I tend to be an over-packer so I am trying to avoid that this time..... Thanks for your help!!

I've never been on a cruise either. My folks enjoy them. I'm not a gambler, so a good book by the pool for a couple hours while cruising sounds just delightful! I'm guessing sunblock is already packed. ;)

Have fun!

Packing light is good. Take some basic colors that will mix and match. Have comfortable shoes. Remember your sunscreen & a visor/hat. Have a windbreaker or light weight jacket in case it gets chilly. Don't forget your sun glasses. Slip a few of your favorite treats in your bag. If you're doing formal dinners or shows, have a some fun outfits for that. Take two swim suits & your little cover-up. Have fun!

I suggest packing some pepto, imodium etc. I have heard depending on symptoms if you buy stomach meds on a cruise they can make you stay in your room to make sure you are not contagious.

I haven't been on a cruise either. I know for all of the other traveling I do, I take as many clothes as I have that don't have to be ironed. I hate feeling like I don't have choices. Black is my best friend since it works with everything and can be dressed up or down. I'm a shoe person so I always take at least one great pair of heels, or use my lack of one as an excuse to buy some. I read quickly so at least a couple books. My shuffle for sure. Visine and advil for the late nights. Hope that helps.
