Recap of Thanksgiving weekend

I know it's been a few days since I posted, but it's been a busy weekend!! We started our Thanksgiving celebration on Wednesday night at Chet and Karen's. We had a great meal and lots of fun playing games. It was nice to have a quiet evening at their new home in Fortuna.

Mary, Jeff and Michela arrived Wednesday night. We went to my parents' house on Thursday morning to hang out and visit. The kids had a great time playing with Michela!

She wants to be a big kid! And she loves any remote she can get her hands on! I am surprised that she didn't try to take the one J.T. has in this picture....

Michela started walking on Thanksgiving night which was fun to watch. She had taken a few steps before they came up, but she really got to it on Thursday night!

On Saturday morning, my mom treated Mary and I to pedicures, while she watched the three kids. Thanks Mom! After that, we attempted to get some pictures of the kids in their Christmas outfits. It was a little challenging, but we got a few. Here's one of the favorites....

On Saturday night, we went to Shamus T Bones to celebrate my parents' anniversary (on Friday). The food was great and it is always cool seeing my western photos up on the wall.

Mary, Jeff and Michela left this morning. The four of us and my dad went riding this afternoon at the beach. It was such a beautiful day with no wind! Just amazing..... My mom came along too so she was able to take a couple pictures of us all...

I am thankful for.... (#3)

my blessings. We have a house to live in, food on the table, good health, and clothes to keep us warm. It is easy to forget what some people live without....

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

I am thankful for... (#2)

my friends!

Some of my friends have been in my life for a really long time, and others a relatively short amount of time. However, they all bring something special and important to my life.

I want to thank my friends that are moms for giving me advice, letting me vent, and understanding how I feel.

I want to thank my photography friends for giving me support and encouragement, and helping me see my worth as a photographer.

I want to thank my long-distance friends for just being there when I need someone to talk to. Most the time we only communicate by email or text, and it may not be often, but I know they are always there.

I know I don't say it often enough, but thank you my friends!

I am thankful for....

my family!

I am thankful for my parents that brought me into this world and raised me to be the person I am today.

I am thankful for my husband, Andy, for supporting all my dreams, especially my photography.

I am thankful for my daughter, Abigail, for wanting to be a helper.

I am thankful for my son, J.T., for wanting to snuggle on the couch and read books.

I am thankful for my sister, Mary, for being more than a sister.... a very close friend. I know I can always go to her if I need something.

I am thankful for my niece, Michela, for letting me be an Auntie and getting my baby "fix" without having another baby!

I am thankful to my parents and my inlaws, Pam, Charlie, Chet and Karen, for being such wonderful grandparents to our children.

I have a lot to be thankful for....

Bits of randomness

I know I haven't been a very good blogger lately. Here's a few random things that I have heard, seen or experienced lately...

1. I heard on the radio this morning that if you stayed one night in every hotel room in Las Vegas that it would take about 300 years to stay in them all!

2. We went to Boise, ID last Wednesday through Saturday for a Ranch Management Consultants meeting. All four flight segments were on-time or early!

3. Spending a five hour layover in San Francisco airport is not really desirable, but wasn't really that bad.

4. If you are tired enough, you can get comfortable and fall asleep on the seats in the airport.

5. Yesterday J.T. came to me and said that he needed a hug because his heart missed me while we were gone.

6. I absolutely LOVE my new Blackberry! I can't imagine how I ever lived without it.

7. I have the majority of my Christmas shopping either done or planned out.

8. I have been spending a lot of time lately creating my new photography website. It's close to being finished and I hope to go "live" by the end of the week.

9. We got a Nintendo Wii a couple weeks ago so we could spend some more time together as a family in the evenings. I am also hoping that it will help the kids to improve their sportsmanship.

10. I am going to hang out with my family (see #9).

New horses

Andy and I went to a horse sale this past weekend in Auburn, CA. It was put on by our friends, the Parkers, from Utah. It was fun to go see them and watch them in action. We brought home two horses, pictured here with the kids. J.T. is holding Sam, and Abigail is holding Jack (name could possibly be changed on this one.) The kids were very excited to see what we brought home.

Abigail loved being Hannah Montana. How does she look as a blonde?
