I'm a Certified Professional Photographer!

***Only a couple people knew that I was doing this.  It has been a long time professional goal of mine to earn this certification so it's a pretty exciting thing for me.  I passed both the image submission and written test on the first try.  I don't think that it's very common to do this so I am pretty proud of myself.  Just thought I would share the info here...***

 

Fortuna Photographer Earns Certification

 Sarah Albin of Sarah Albin Photography in Fortuna, CA has earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission.

Albin earned this designation after meeting rigorous requirements measuring her artistic and technical competence.  The Professional Photographic Certification Commission currently recognizes less that 2,000 Certified Professional Photographers in the world.

The Professional Photographic Certification Commission (www.certifiedphotographer.com) is the leading body for certifying imaging professionals.  Certified Professional Photographers must complete a written examination, finish an image evaluation, and adhere to a stringent code of conduct.  Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continuing confidence in the professionalism of Certified Professional Photographers.

Prom in Fortuna!

Saturday night was the Fortuna High School Prom.  I saw lots of kids around town dressed up.  I offered to do a few pictures for a couple of my senior portrait clients.  Here's a couple...

Swimming lessons: Michela

Last weekend I was able to go to my sister's and spend some time with her family. We took my nieces to their swimming lessons. They weren't too crazy about going and there were a few tears in the pool. In any case, I think it's great they are learning early so they can enjoy the (much) nicer weather down there....
